Bodies of the Same Sea
1 min readApr 12, 2019
His eyes shine like sea glass on a sandy shore,
slightly seeing through the depths of his soul.
A light emerald green casts a stare upon me,
a mirror of mixed emotions whirls waves within me.
Sea salt rims around my dark amber eyes,
captivating his gaze one glimpse at a time.
Our shadows meet long before our bodies;
we clash as the waves crash along the coast.
Emeralds, ambers, a rippling through my figure
as his arms reach my frame in a splash of saline.
